re: ATM Figuring Question

Hi Mike,

Take the numbers you have, and experiment with "what if" numbers.
For example: "what if I did TOT 1/3 "W" strokes to take .010 from
zone 4 and .020 from zone 5" Now run the program again, but subtract
XXX from zone Z. Did the Strehl ratio go up or down? Play with the
program in this way and eventually you will hit on the area which needs
the work. Remember that the simple advice above isn't "real world"
(IE you'll also take material off zones 2 and 3, and more than
likely won't hit these numbers exactly). But it gives you an idea what to
do next. above all else, KEEP A LOG of what you did, and the results.

Temper the advice above with the fact that you want all your zones
to smoothly transition. In other words, try to avoid concentrating on
one area.

This is nothing new, and has been repeated on this list for along time.
But it takes some folks a long time to get it. (at least it did for me)
