Re: ATM [History] Draper's article

WOW, Now that's a hard core ATMr, a Treadmill powered grinding/polishing
machine!!!!!! :)

I did find the section on mirror silvering to be very useful!

By the way, Great work on saving a VERY valuable document and making it
available to all!

Take Care,

Subject: ATM [History] Draper's article

:
: Henry Draper's article "On the Construction of a Silvered Glass
: Telescope 15 1/2 inches in aperture and its use in Celestial
: Photography," 1864 can now be found at
:
: http://www.considine.net/draper.zip (4.95M)
:
: It is an MS Word document with JPEGs of the figures. (I
: transcribed it from a *really* crappy microfilm of the original article -
: not the 1904 reprint - so my apologies for some of the graphics.) If
: anyone wants to .PDF it, .HTML it, .TXT it, mirror it, etc., go nuts.
: There may be some spelling errors (ol' Henry made a few himself)
: but everything else should be pretty true to the original.
