Re: ATM DOB: A little past vertical?
I should have mentioned that this DOB will be set atop a Osypowski EQ
platform and therefore tracking won't be an issue. I was thinking more
about improving acquisition. Maybe it's not worth it...

Subject: ATM DOB: A little past vertical?
I've got the opportunity to make my DOB rockers capable of going a little
past the zenith. The mirror is RTV'd to the cell so I don't need to worry
about a sling. Is there any reason not to go say 5 degrees past to minimize
the DOB hole problem? Would a DSC get confused by this? I'm using the the
Sky Commander due to its support for equatorial platforms.
tnx
