trib = trig I presume (b and g are next to each other 
on the keyboard)...

This is derived from trig. It is not algebra 
although you may use common algebraic techniques 
to arrive at it. I arrived at this from lines 
passing through sections of a circle defined 
by ROC and radius. Solution for sagitta is 
obtained from classical textbook trigonometry.
