FW: ATM Primary mirror support in the horizontal plane (Nastran plots)
Clive, Richard,
Does this simulation suggest that the largest deformation is
in the order of 4E-6 micro inch?
Or should it read 4 micro inch, which seems to be more realistic.
What do these numbers mean in reality? The 4 micro inch
corresponds to about 1/5 lambda, but as in-plane deformation.
What effect does this deformation have on the light
reflection; is it also in this order? My gut feeling says it
should be a lot smaller than that.
Can you please detail on this? Thanks!

: Case 3 might raise a few eyebrows amongst those of

: Perhaps a review of the mechanics of our test stands
