I saw this done at RTMC one year and have used it ever since.  Cut a piece
of paper the size our your mirror then fold it in quarter.  That is, in
half to form a half circle, then in half again to form a pie slice shapped
quarter circle. Place the paper over your mirror alligning the edge with
the edge of the mirror.  Mark the center.  The person who demonstrated
(sorry forget his name) also placed one of those lick and apply rings that
are normally used to reinforce three hole paper for three ring binders at
the center of the mirror.  Noting that the secondary shadows the center.
This makes it easy to find the center.
