RE: ATM 14.5...internet scope mirror (KEN)
Hello, Ken: I'm just putting the final touches on polishing, and finishing
up my Foucault test stand, light, etc. Am I wrong to do a knife-edge test
before parabolizing? I believe I was refering to the numbers you get when
taking zonal readings from a Couder mask and possibly their conversions to a
graph showing the wavefront variations from optimum, etc. You DO have to
get the numbers before you can input them, correct? Then the programs
available will show where the mirror needs work? Yes, I believe I have a
nice sphere (it sure FEELS right (big <G>) Seriously, though, I do have
the programs I need except TEX. Would you be so kind as to point out my
errors in reasoning, and also do me a kindness of pointing me to where I can
get TEX? Thanks for your time in advance. JW
