ATM Bigger FOV than... eye?

Hi all,

I thought of this idea several times, and wanted to
ask you guys about the topic- Is it possible to build
a Camera that has a bigger field than your eye?

Actually- why not? Our eyes or lens, so why can't we
make a camera which would be held to the Zenith, and
that would get all light- even from the smallest
angles! That would an enourmos revolution to Amateur
Astronomy, wouldn't it!
