Probably because many people here have home-brewed dew zappers.  Amp Hours
isn't a meaningful unit for what is basically a heater, because it is a
measure of energy consumed over time.  OK for describing the capacity of a
battery; not for a heater (Unless you say how long you measured for)

Jim Kendrick is probably a prince among men, but I'm leery of that sort of
obfuscation.  Maybe you should ask what power adapter he recommends, and
use its output for your current figures.  Or maybe some nice person here
who has one can do a little industrial espionage...
