ATM Subdiameter Laps

Well after a very enjoyable grinding experience on my first mirror I'm
about to start polishing and need some advice.  I'm considering using a 9"
glass tool for my lap on a 10" mirror and I'm not sure if this will cause
me any grief.  From what I understand I'll most likely wind up with a
turned up edge which shouldn't be that difficult to correct.  I also have a
full size tool that I can work with but I'd prefer giving the smaller one a
try if it makes sense.  

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
