Sure, that's the whole point of the Digital ReadOut (DRO), to upgrade your focuser. The DRO attaches to your existing NGF-S and will display drawtube position to .01mm. It also gives you variable speed control of the motor. There is a short review of it in S&T May 1995, page 43.
JMI will send you their catalog if you call them. The catalog has a $3.00 price on the cover, but they sent me one for free. :)
