The target for the queries would be anyone who is interested in financial type data. To bring you up to speed as to who is and who would probably be interested in using these queries, I will give you some background info.

The mail enabled query system has been in existence for approximately a year and a half. As you can see, this has been around a lot longer than the WWW has been at Sandia. The way people sent messages to the mail enable server before the WWW, and by the way is still available today, was to simply type in the mail message in the mail system and mail the message to the mail enabled server. This system has become very popular. Between 400-500 people use this system on a regular basis. The majority of these individuals are case managers, administrative assistants, managers, and many secretaries. I would say that the majority of secretaries that use this system probably use it to do property queries, but that is not always the case.

You are probably commenting on some of the terminology (i.e. in the query types, etc) used in the queries. I would comment that the majority of the target audience would be familiar with these terms.

In addition, I am working with the Carol Christensen and Pat Willan of the Sandia Business School. They are planning to offer a 2hr to 1/2 day training session on the mail enabled queries. They plan to discuss the terminology that is used throughout the mail enabled system in the class.

Hopefully, this will help. If you need any further assistance, please let me know.

Scott

Scott, I'm looking over your JIT Email-enabled query screens. Can you tell me who is the target population for these screens? It seems like it's a specific group, like accountant types and not your average Sandian or secretary. True?

Thanks. Eric
