Where do you place the crosshairs? In the exact focal plane of the eyepiece? I am building a 8X50 finder to which I want to add crosshairs. However, in my eyepiece it's difficult to access the focal plane. How about laying the crosshairs on an old filter mount and screwing that in as far as it will go? I'm considering doing that. Any comments?
