My 14" had the secondary fall out (previous owner) and it struck the
primary scratching it. The previous owner, worried about it, painted
them with black paint. The result is black marks on the coating and
mirror many times (orders of magnitude) larger than the original damage.
I recommend just leaving them alone.-Rik
