I know this may sound dumb so take it for what it is worth.
The late Mr. Morvac of the now out of business Morvac Optical Coating Co.
told me stay away from alcohol as much possible (in cleaning mirrors.) ;-)
He said that alcohol will tend to turn the coating to slight blue color.
Has anybody ever observed this? Maybe comparing an old mirror with a
fresh coated mirror.
