It's a bit different than the Newport optical stuff. It's quite a bit more pink. The others was more yellow. (Willman Bell uses the term "Flesh colored" That sure nails the color down doesn't it?)
Well, I'm polishing with the lap on top, and this C. O. screeches like crazy.
I need to keep the mirror much wetter than before.
So now, I use a billionth of a gram of C. O. and a full spray of water from the spray gun and I get one turn around the post before screeeeeeccccchhhhhh. That takes about 3 minutes.
Sound about right to anyone?
I don't continue once the screeching starts.
The edge MIGHT be getting better, I can't tell yet.
The mirror is testing much more spherical, and I don't think I'm getting a turned-down edge, so it's keep polishing for me.
