Jerry Logan is finishing his 10.25" f10 Schupmann medial refractor and will bring it to RTMC. He folded the design. The tube asm. is only 4ft 2in long. FYI: A Schupmann medial refractor has a single element objective of crown glass and an internal corrector made from the same melt of glass. It is unostructed and has no color. The first design by Ludwig Schupmann was published in 1899. Only a few have been built over the years, the largest I think is a 15.1" in 1911. Jerry built a 7" f10 in 1990 (superb you just turn a knob and the color is gone) So many telescopes so little time :-)
