Right on Bob,  Rookies need to look at lodgic, read, experiment, and come to a final outcome.
   Sometimes final outcomes are not correct or exact, but this list will give you so many opinion's that you will through them in the mix and pick your own flavor... Experience is a fine teacher, but hands on failure is also a teacher.. Don't take everything you read or hear as "gospel", let it guide you to your own end, as you flownder through your process... You are an engineer of a glass surface.. Many have done this before, but now it is your turn.. Whatever process you choose is yours...Advise...Good.....All of the advise..I don't know...The basic's and the process are undisputed by all,   get towards the figuring stage ....Many have many ideas, ways, or "tricks" to achieve the final curve...That is why it is so much fun!!!     PS  Any person's that have an airtight figureing program for the elusive Parabola I will apologize to at this point..I know you are out there and I can hear your hissess at my statement's.
Rookies have no idea of what your process is, only by your word's or website. Until they do the process, hands on, it will not hit home...
