[ATM] Update on the 110 cm (43.3 inch) Cruxis telescope

Dear ATM friends,
 
Since early April the 110 cm (43.3 inch) Cruxis telescope project has
moved from the drawing board to the construction phase.
 
The telescope is being built "bottom up"; the motorized alt-azimuth
mount is the first part that has been constructed. We now have a giant
100 cm x 115 cm (40" x 45") alt-azimuth drive platform that will later
move the 200 kg (450 lbs) OTA around the sky.
