     Also try relating it to something all of them like. Just this Tuesday
the astronomy club at my high school went to an elementary school to do some
teaching for second graders. My partner and I did those "star clocks" that
you rotate to the date and time. After showing them how to use them, we had
them find fun things like their birthdays and Christmas (so they could see
what Santa will see ;)

     We also made a game of finding constellations on a large map so they
could fidget and move about as is their impulse to do so.

     As the others said keep them hands on.
