Ken,

Thanks for your novel suggestion.

What is the function of the cheese cloth, and what should the result be 
(that is, how would I know whether it looks right the next day)?  (Is it to 
put some structure into the pitch?)

Do you think my fairly hard pitch (a mixture of about 50% 64 and 50% 73F 
pitch) is right for this approach?
