Getting into this line of reasoning, some eye problems cause
a lot of tear formation and this is notorious for causing
all kinds of optical disturbances when looking through any
type of optical instrument. I sometimes get a little watering
in my eyes and need to use tissue paper to remove the tears,
and then, like magic, images look much better.
