[ATM] Bellow's for focus
Dominic, and the list, The process of "bellow's" is as you said, "OLD"...
To replicate, or imitate, would be a classic process, as would be restoring
an old camera that had deterioration due to age..
I would suggest re-creating the same dynamic's with some of our modern
materials, but done in the same geometric process... Some of the new silicon
caulks and other materials might give you the same flexability and add many
more years to the creation. Or.. you could change the "bellow" to a tube,
or circular base , as the camera progressed to this point.. But the
obvious trail is the 'old"
square "accordian" bellow.... This may be another route to finding how to
seal, what material, and maintanece of the "Sqweeze Box"... Have fun...Our
forefathers were perfectionist's in their own right, and this process was
the norm. to create a camera that would create the best exposure, and focus
on the largest exposure "plate" or film possible.... We are all still doing
the same thing in one way or another....Russ Jocoy
