I searched also. I found this claim:

I doubt it would satisfy you, even on deep-sky. If it is not as good as crystal glass, it's probably not as good as optical glass. Also, in Russ' case, I think he was after an ultra-light scope. An extra piece of glass would raise the weight over a spider, I'm sure. (also the cost) Thanks for hosting the page for us to look at.
