Re: [ATM] First Timer Polishing Questions

I remember reading somewhere that after you rinse off your mirror and dry it with a paper towel, then you use your clean fleshy forearm section to wipe it off one more time.

First, the hand-held microscope from RadioShack is brilliant! At first
I thought I had pits all over the place but eventually realized they
ere remnants of the paper towel used to pat the mirror dry; they wipe
away easily. Only really found 2 "pits" right at the edge, which
actually looked like small chips from when I let the bevel get away
during rough grinding. Found one little scratch completely invisible to
the naked eye. Otherwise, the surface has no detail whatsoever, which
makes me think it is pretty well polished. I'm sure plenty of you guys
have built something similar out of various spare parts, but for $8 this
little device was a good deal for a non-techie like me. Wish I had this
from the beginning.
