WoW! Considering that the stone product that I use takes about
1/2 hour from the first mix time to turn hard enough to handle
and grind with, speeding it up from there is merely silly. I can
see this with some of the cement products that take a day or more
to fully setup (I don't know how hard that is for some of you
others that use different products) but I'm generally using the
tool before it dries to the point where it is fully hardened.
Please note that the grinding time after the tool is made is
usually less than an hour and then the tool sits for a week until
the next grinding session. As such, a tool would be fully cured
and ready for any strains that may happen.
Temperature does indeed make the stone set faster but even making
a tool with 50deg. water doesn't extend the time by very much,
making the setting time about 40 minutes or so compared to a
70deg. water.
