Re: [ATM] start...tool....

saqib... i don't know how (in)expensive it is in pakistan, but i bought a
bag (25kgs) of plaster of paris (dental grade) from a medical distributor in
bangalore (south india), for 370 inr. see if you can buy such a bulk
quantity from a medical dealer / distributor - you would save substantially
on this item at least. (i don't think pop-dental-grade is quite the same as
dental-stone, though... dental stone's a pinkish color, while the
pop-dental-grade is whitish... and most medical stores wouldn't know the
difference). contacting your favorite dentist would be the best option, if
you're particular about dental stone.

good luck with the quest!

btw, list members: i guess this is my first post here... i've been going
through this thread with a lot of interest, and it was a relief to see that
these guys were finally able to get their starter kits! i'm looking to make
my own mirrors in bangalore, india (starting with a 6", slowly going to a
16"), in preparation for a big amateur scope... let's see how it goes!

cheers,
sridhar.
