Jerry, it would be a long, long time!
Oblate spheroids, as I have found, are done by rubbing hardest as
the mirror starts moving and the forces are on the overhung edge
and that force decreases as you move the mirror.  COC strokes are
also done with the hands one in front of the other rather than
the side by side that most people use.
Some people have the right hands for doing parabolas while others
don't and thus have to fight to get there.
