That scope from Stellafane 2005 was made by Kelly Jons of Chardon, Ohio as per

I believe that Kelly is still a Librarian at Shaker Middle School in
Shaker Heights, OH.  You might contact him and ask about the design.
Sorry, I don't have an e-mail address for Kelly.  However, a look at Astromart
shows that Kelly has an account and has been active with a sale transaction
on 16 March 2006.  Dunno if he pays attention to his Astromart's "inbox",
but you could send him a "private message" via Astromart.  (And if he's
like me, he may notice it in the next few months: e-mail is my inbox and
the Astromart "private message" system doesn't appear to have a way to
forward to e-mail.)
