[ATM] Out tonight

Hi gang,
  Just thought I would post a note about my observing session this
evening.  Skies cleared in the late afternoon, so I packed up my old
Meade 8" SCT and headed down to the park about a mike from my house.
 As I was setting up, an older gentleman walked by and asked "What is
that?"  I told him and he said he thought scopes were long and skinny.
:)  I explained..... I asked him if he wanted a look, but he said
"No.....I can't see much of anything anymore".  :(   I wished him well
and he wandered off with his dog.
 Throughout the evening, several other people walked, skateboarded,
drove by but nobody stopped or asked to have a look.  I deliberately did
not invite them over as I wanted to see what people would do on their
own.  Next time I will.  :)
 The seeing was marginal, but Cassini's division was occasionally quite
clear, as were the more prominent belts on big Jove.  Deep sky was a
bust with all the lights around.
