They really are marvelous, as the poet said, "A miracle of rare device."
Ritchey used a six lobed one, whose raised areas ("area programmed) were
shaped like six radiating Zulu warrior shields (full diameter tool; always
used as a full diameter tool) to "automatically" parabolize the 60" mirror
(though, I understand he did need to do some work with a subdiameter tool,
also). I am a little ill today, but I will put ypour name in my request
folder and get it out to you pretty quick, unless I croak.

They work so well that you might be tempted to abandon the more popular
methods (except for very large mirrors).
