[ATM] Re: Lining up the STARS and Optical alignment
Russ-
You are too kind!
It is mostly physical health that has caused me to abandon actual atm-ing in
favor of instructing many "newbies" from my experience; I have kept the many
well illustrated lessons I have composed either in Word 2000 or as Outlook
Express html emails. (Arthritis takes the fun out of most things). These are
available to anyone who wants them. I have specialized, over the years, in
"area ruled" figuring, and laps for same. Many of you will remember that I
call these laps "Zulu laps". They are a miracle of rare device.
You are too generous!
Thanks for your recognition of my very modest contributions. There are many
people on the list with vast experience, and one other advantage over me:
they are smarter. But by golly, I wouldn't miss this "moveable feast" for
anything! Not only do we get to tap into a huge pool of atm-ing knowledge,
but we get to be entertained, very well, occcasionally, by Flying Wing Man,
Richard Schwartz! The great renaissance man came through Enid to see me this
spring!
Thanks again, Russ. You are a good man, my friend.
Dave
P.S.- Have many (well, some) illustrated articles on what I consider almost
a miracle when it comes to figuring: the Zulu lap; happy to send same to
anyone. I don't think any of them take too long to download, even with a 56K
connection.
