While almost everything was said, but here my comment, as I made two 14"
mirrors on the same tool. I did as follows:

- Hogging out with a grinder (I was to lazy, to do it by hand for 2 blanks)
- Rough and fine grinding with the same 10" glass Tool TOT
- Polishing with a 12" dental plaster tool TOT.
- Parabolizing mostly with a 6" starlap tool

As the others said, there is no strict rule, which size to take
