Re: [ATM] Re: FigureXP and Foucault test Analysis

Hi Jan

Welcome back from France, now that your back I've done a comparison of your data
between SixTests, FigureXP,and Foucault Test Analysis. Here's the results:

                      SixTests FigureXP FTA
PVWF 1/6.2 1/5.8 1/4.3
Surf RMS 14.8nm 15.9nm 20.3nm
Strehl 0.891 0.875 0.785
Best Fit conic -1.053 -1.06 -1.015

Here's a link to a zip file containing the data files for all three programs:
http://lerch.no-ip.com/atm/Jan/Jan.zip

While all three give different results, SixTests and Figure agree within the
margin of error of s(RMS) of 3.3nm, based on your 4 KE sets. In addition the
surface profiles for Sixtests and Figure are rather similar.

Here are some screen shots:

FigureXP surface profile:

Foucault Test Analysis wavefront profile:

For all three programs, I used an effective mask radius entry, so that
eliminates one variable.. Other than that I can not explain the discrepancies.

I also ran the Monte Carlo function on both FigureXP and FTA, here are the
results:

FTA Monte Carlo Screen Shot:

I wish you were closer, it would be interesting to see what an interferometer
had to say about the optic.
