Sorry, I don't have time for a detailed response right now. If you're 
talking about testing an asphere with contact interference, sure this is 
feasible. Whether it's a good idea is debatable.

When I was seriously considering an RC project I convinced myself that a 
through the back null test was the way to go for a one time project.
