Thanks for your insights. I'm also bound to think that perhaps
fabricating an additional spherical test surface might be simpler in
practice. I do not know... If I ever get around to fabricate a Cass or
RC secondary I'll try the two way null and see how it works. There is
an inherent "beauty" in the fact that the two surfaces converge to a
desired aspheric...
What's your opinion on direct interference testing of the surface with
the polished tool surface as a reference and using fringe analysis to
measure the surface deviation from the reference? Are there problems
if the deviation is to big in asphericity and/or curvature?
