Thanks for your answers.
So if I understand well, the size of the tool depends on the preferences 
of the user. I assume I can safely use a full sized tool for grinding.
For polishing I plan to start with the same tool. I can change my mind 
if I find pushing the lap is too hard or if figuring is too difficult.
