Failure of success is dependent on the process used. The process in general
has to be very tightly controlled at each step. Otherwise not much success.

I believe one of the failure modes of the fiber is folds or wrinkles
occurring in the fiber during wrap. When high tension is applied to those
fibers, They can start ripping one at a time at the fold which is the weak
spot.  I am not sure a drop test gains much confidence since I believe the
failures are normally in tension instead of shock. I would think you could
tension it up to say twice or thrice its load.. should be a good test.
Probably want to test every piece to be placed in use. You could x-ray for
voids if that is an option or maybe do a sonic mapping type test.
