RE: [ATM] Grinding Machine Mishap!

Offsetting the glass on the spindle, thicker edge closer to center of
rotation, is one method of reducing wedge in lens making. I wouldn't say
that it couldn't possibly cause some astigmatism but if so it shouldn't
require going back a grade of grit. Just re-center and grind for a while
with the same grade. I'm with the Hermit camp. Might be some other reason
for the astigmatism.
