I plan to use the Teflon lined bearings shown on pg 1052 of the
McMaster-Carr Catalog  http://www.mcmaster.com/ and then press fit them into
a hole in the triangle.  You could then glue a stud into the bearing and you
will have the pivot point about as close as possible to the back of the
mirror.  This is what I plan to do.  Should work very smoothly.
