Here in the Portland, OR area, I've discovered a ceramic supply house (named
Georgie's) that sells pretty much all the Hydrocal products, including a
couple varieties of dental stone. Stuff runs anywhere from ~$23/100 lbs. up
to about $27/100 lbs. Comes in 50 lb. sacks. A bit prohibitive costwise for
shipping, but if you're in this area (or they also have a store in Eugene,
OR), it's a good alternative.
I suspect most fairly decent sized cities might have similar outlets. It's
more of a commercial sized ceramic/pottery supply house.
