If you found your dentist to sell you a box at $10, you're getting a deal!
The price on the cheapest stuff is about $16 a 25# box.  Generally, any
medium sized city will probably have a wholesale dental outlet and they will
probably sell to you without problems as most dentists tend to be small
outfits where the monthly purchases are small.  Do make sure that you can
make exact change for any purchase as that tends to make things easier for
the wholesaler.
There are places online that sell the stuff and you should consider the cost
of shipping when dealing with them as the 25# is a fair bit of weight.  You
will also want to go with a more local place as UPS tends to charge more for
longer distances.
