Yup! it does. I stacked two blanks one on top of the other with a piece 
shelf mat between them.
They were stacked on a ply disk to raise them above the surface of the 
turntable.
My jig clamped them down to the turntable via the centre.
Diamond disk fed against them, friction driving the diamond disk.
I could just leave it running till perfectly round.
