[ATM] Edging a Blank

OK, I for one have had enough. Yes, cars don't drive in space and yes SPAM 
stinks. Let's talk ATM instead.

I recently got a couple of molded pyrex blanks, and discovered the edges are 
not only wavy, but out of square. Aside from looking bad, this leads to 
difficulties in edge support.

I modified my grinding machine to try to edge the blank, but have had limited 
success (OK, it works but it is incredibly slow).

Has anybody experience edging that they'd like to share?
