   I just went to get some tiles for a 12" mirror I was
about to start.

   I went over to the local tile store and got some nice
1" hex tiles in a 12"x24" sheet for $5. looking at their
sample sheet it wasn't hard to pick out which tiles were
porcelain and which were just a porcelain top layer.

ps. I don't need the tiles anymore, just got a f/5 12.5"
    that just needs to finished polished and re-figured.
    I guess I'll save the tiles for the next project,
    a 18"-24" mirror :^)
