ATM: Large Refractor tubes and Mounts?

Hello all,

I have just aquired a 8.5" F12 achromat with a cell. 
I did some tests and it appears to be of excellent
quality (at least 1/8 wave).  Does anybody have any
recommendations for tube material.  I can get 9" PVC
but was hoping for something a little more elegant
(and lighter) than that.  

Anybody have any Ideas for a mount for such a beast? 
I was thinking a Yoke Alt-Az or maybe even Eq setup. 
I can't afford to buy a quality commercial mount.

Any ideas?
