    To All who would ask,
    I think we do it for 3 main reasons.
1.To save money.If you build a scope from scratch, the cost is lower 
hence,buy bigger glass.
2. OK so it's not just the money, it's the challenge to.
3.It is a way of shaking our fist at this 'death before inconvenience' 
society that has managed
    to de-personalize the universe.
4. (But you said three) Quiet, I'm on a roll here!Weather we admit it or 
not, ATM'ers are all
    closet alchemists. We just can't resist tinkering with the universe.
If we had the dark skies of our ancestors,a 6" newt would have the 
gathering power of a 12.
