Re: ATM Polishing pads (was Any recent big BVC mirrors?)
I thank all who have responded to my query on
polishing pads. Bob's comment makes me wonder,
however, if Salem only wants to deal with large
orders.
FWIW, I am thinking of trying them on the 12.5-inch
mirror I am currently working on. The scope will be
named Paul Areopagus - hence my e-mail address. Paul
refers to Paul Graves, my long-time observing buddy
who died last year of cancer and left the blank to me.
Areopagus is Greek for Mars Hill.
David Smith
PS Work on the new scope is stalled while I rebuild
my daughter's 6-incher to fit into a suitcase to take
to the African eclipse in June. She did its mirror.
