Matt,
I like the way you attached the turnbuckles to heavy duty U bolts. On my
string scope I was trying to hook them to screw eyes but they would bend
enough to cause some movement of the cage, at first I thought it was the
string but the 450plus does not stretch. Those heavy U bolts look like a
much better approach.

I already came up with a different solution though, a square aluminum
tube with a nylon block with a tapped hole in the center through which
passes a bolt. The block has 4 holes drilled in it through which the
string passes. This works well for adjusting the string tension and
doesn't bend, but its a lot more complcated than your U bolts!
