FWIW, roll film holders come in two main flavors:
1. Those that are completely independent of the camera for film advance.
Most all view camera filmplane holders fall into this category. Brooks,
Horseman, Graphlex, etc. These you want. Film advance mechanism and lever
are an integral part of the magazine.
2. Those that need mechanisms mounted in the camera body to advance the
film. Hasselblad, Bronica, Mamiya, etc. Avoid these.
The best choice for working at the shallow focal plane of long focal length
optics would be an unbacked (ie. no paper backing), 70mm system. Unbacked
film lays much flatter, and in a much more repeatable plane. Best of all
would be a vacuum pressure plate system. These used to turn up in surplus
houses, all too long ago.
